Airport lounges used to be simple places to wait for flights. Not anymore.

Chase is spending heavily. So are Amex and Capital One. The race for sky-high comfort is heating up. Now Chase has joined that fray in Dallas with a bang.

The Chase Sapphire Lounge at Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) is officially open. It’s located in Terminal D.

You might ask yourself, why choose this specific Chase Sapphire lounge location?

The answer lies in its sheer scale and the fact that DFW now offers the only airside-connected “trifecta” of premium lounges. This isn’t just a waiting room. It’s a split-level experience.

Inside the 18,000-Square-Foot Space

Open as of Thursday, July 16, the DFW spot sits near gate D25. It hovers above the concourse. The design tries to capture the vibe of two cities in one: the modern edge of Dallas mixed with the rugged heritage of Fort Worth.

At 18,000 sq ft, it’s big. Not as huge as the spots in New York (LaGuardia) or Philadelphia, but close. It feels like one of the flagship locations in the network.

Here is what makes the Chase Sapphire lounge access at DFW different from the standard run-of-the-mill experience.

  • Whiskey Focus : There’s a dedicated whiskey lounge. Think guided pairings and custom barrels. You won’t find this in every spot.
  • Local Food : Encina, a restaurant from Bishop Arts District, handles the dining. They’ve teamed up with local brands like Fort Worth’s Cherry Coffee.
  • Wellness Zone : Face Haus is providing facials. There are also resting pods and showers.
  • Tech & Work : A sapphire-blue tiled fireplace sets the scene for working spaces. Movable tables help. You can do Peloton meditations via your phone too.
  • Kids & Care : There’s a kids’ room and a private nursing suite.

It’s sleek. It’s designed to feel less like a transit hub and more like a local bar that just happens to be in an airport.

“Blending modern sophistication with western heritage” — that’s the pitch, and the design actually backs it up.

How to Enter and Rules You Should Know

Don’t assume you just walk in with a Chase card. The rules for the Chase Sapphire lounge entry are strict.

First, you need a Priority Pass. But where that pass comes from matters a lot.

If you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card (or the retired Ritz-Carlton Card), your Priority Pass is the VIP tier. You get unlimited visits. Two guests come for free every time. That is a strong perk.

If your Priority Pass comes from another card, the math gets harder.

  • You get one free visit per calendar year across all U.S. locations. Not per lounge.
  • After that? $75 per visit.
  • Guests aren’t free on that pass either. You pay $75 for them too.

No Priority Pass at all? You can pay a flat $100 entry fee. But check availability first. It might not work if the room is packed.

Also, watch your clock.

You can only enter three hours before departure. Connecting flights? You get earlier access. Flying out? Stay sharp.

The DFW Lounge Crawl

Dallas-Fort Worth Airport now holds the crown. It’s one of three airports—alongside Las Vegas and New York JFK—with lounges from all three major credit card issuers (Amex, Capital One, Chase).

But here’s the catch with LAS and JFK: their layouts are annoying. In Vegas, the lounges aren’t great. In JFK, they’re stuck in Terminal 4, which doesn’t connect to others airside. You’re stuck walking.

DFW Terminal D fixes that problem.

Because all DFW terminals are connected airside, you can do a “lounge crawl.” You can start at the new Chase Sapphire lounge at DFW, check out the Amex Centurion, and stop by Capital One if you have the time and credits.

Terminal D gets even better. There’s a Plaza Premium lounge there too. Plus the U.S.-first Plaza Premium First Lounge for those with deeper pockets and more specific needs.

So is the Chase DFW the best in the world? Hard to say without a long-term review.

But for travelers who land in Texas, it changes the game. No more choosing between terminals. You’ve got options.

Whether you’re chasing the whiskey pairings or just a quiet spot near that blue fireplace, DFW now gives you plenty of room to breathe before you take off.
