Hilton Honors members will soon be able to earn and redeem points at Yotel locations worldwide, thanks to a new partnership announced on March 19th. This marks the first hotel brand to join Hilton’s recently launched “Select by Hilton” program, which allows established brands to retain their identity while tapping into Hilton’s vast distribution network and loyalty program.
What Makes Yotel Different?
Yotel is known for its compact, tech-forward rooms – some as small as 86 square feet – designed for modern travelers. The brand prioritizes efficiency and innovation, offering features like automated luggage storage and a streamlined booking experience. While smaller than traditional hotel rooms, Yotel spaces are designed for comfort and functionality, often incorporating stylistic elements like bunk beds, similar to Hilton’s own Motto and Moxy brands.
Why This Partnership Matters
This collaboration is significant because it expands Hilton’s reach into a segment of the market focused on affordable, tech-savvy accommodations. Yotel currently operates 23 hotels across 10 countries, including key locations in New York, London, and Tokyo. By integrating with Hilton Honors, Yotel gains access to a massive customer base while Hilton adds another option for its loyal members.
“Hilton brings unmatched global distribution and loyalty scale to our brand and business,” said Yotel CEO Phil Andreopoulos. “This relationship allows us to expand our reach while staying true to who we are.”
How It Will Work
Over the coming months, travelers will be able to book Yotel stays directly through the Hilton website and app. Hilton Honors members will earn and redeem points as usual, while Yotel will maintain independent management of its brand. The first Yotel properties are expected to be integrated into Hilton channels by late 2026.
A New Approach to Brand Collaboration
Hilton’s “Select by Hilton” program represents a strategic shift in how major hotel chains approach partnerships. By allowing brands like Yotel to retain their unique identity while benefiting from Hilton’s infrastructure, the company creates a more diverse and competitive portfolio. This model could reshape the hospitality industry, offering travelers more choices without sacrificing brand integrity.
The integration of Yotel into Hilton Honors provides a win-win scenario: broader access for Yotel and increased value for Hilton loyalists.
